Pollo a la Brasa

Every chicken we serve comes off the wood fire. Get it with the yuca fries and fried plantains.

The fries soak up the sauce, and that's the best part of the plate. Try it with our aji verde on the side.

El Dorado Pollo la Brasa is hands down next-level Peruvian cuisine! The lomo saltado here is absolutely freaking amazing; easily the best I’ve had in all of California. And trust me, I would know, I’m Peruvian myself, and this dish hits all the right notes: juicy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the food came out quickly, and the staff was super friendly; which, let’s be honest, isn’t always the case at Peruvian spots. El Dorado…

We walked here from the Rose Bowl area. A little wet and chilly today! This place is excellent. We were having trouble deciding on our plans- Gustavo helped us and went out of his way to serve us a delicious lunch. The chicharron bowls and lomo saltado were fantastic. The chicken fried rice as a side and the plantains to finish. Yum. They’ve been here for 9 years - we wish them all success for years to come! Happy New Year. Come here, you won’t regret it.

The chicken is King here--delectably redolent in a seductive smokiness, derived from the steady wood fire smoke penetrating the meat and skin, resulting in incredibly moist and flavorful rotisserie chicken. This Peruvian Palace to the Bird is a great place to go for not only the succulent chicken, but the sides are wonderful, as well. Of particular note, the yucca fries and plantains are stellar. I have also ordered the ceviche here and enjoyed it immensely; and they serve an excellent…

I will say, this place did surprise me. It was quite delicious, well priced, and the portions were perfect. Have I had better? Yes, but El Dorado is a place I will definitely return to if I am in the area. The sides are what blew me away. The Yuka fries were by far the best I have ever had and the plantains were like my grandmother made then. The fried rice was unique and it tasted clean. You know when you go to some places and fried rice is really greasy? Not here. Still highly recommend you…

If you want delicious and authentic Peruvian food in a beautiful, casual atmosphere, look no further. El Dorado is the place to be. The owner, Jonah, is an incredibly nice person. It was great being able to chat with him, and he was extremely hospitable. He made sure to give me plenty of water on such a hot day, as I had my pug with me and we were sitting on the patio on a hot summer day. The lomo saltado was perfect. Tender, juicy beef, delicious fries and sauce, white rice, red onions, and…
